Nigel graduated from the University of Newcastle with BA (Hons) in Politics & Economics before going on to complete an MSc. He has almost 15 years recruitment experience, with the last decade or so having been spent in legal recruitment. He has recruited at all levels from newly qualified to partner level, recruiting candidates in just about every conceivable legal discipline. Geographically he has recruited for firms both in London and the regions as well as for private practice firms offshore (predominantly across the Channel Islands, Caribbean and Bermuda). He also has experience of recruiting in-house lawyers for commerce and industry.
On entering legal recruitment, he joined a well established niche legal recruitment firm working for a highly regarded recruiter, well known in legal circles. From there he moved to a larger, well known, legal recruitment firm, before leaving 4 years ago to assist in the setting up of a new legal recruitment business. Having been a director there from its inception, he eventually decided that the time was right to move on, setting up his own recruitment consultancy, Farrar Levin Legal Recruitment.
Nigel’s approach is to establish strong inter-personal relationships with clients and candidates alike. With candidates, he is keen to help make the process of finding a new role as stress-free and as pain-free as possible. He takes candidate confidentiality very seriously indeed, as well as allowing the candidate to retain control over the process by allowing them to determine where their CV is sent.
